Some commonly asked questions
about DigiCrime

Teach your children...
Where is the headquarters of DigiCrime?
We have no physical offices. We also do not maintain our own computer systems, since we find it cheaper and easier to use other people's computers.
Who are DigiCrime's customers?
Your friends and enemies.
Who is visiting DigiCrime?
We prefer to keep the identity of our visitors only for ourselves.
Is it true you can read my email?
Send some email to a friend mentioning DigiCrime and find out for yourself...
Is DigiCrime hiring at this time?
No. We've decided to keep the wealth to ourselves.
What kind of skills are required for such a company?
Probably the kind you don't have. Qualifications include a healthy cynicism about information security, and a rapier wit.
What recognition and awards has DigiCrime won?
When DigiCrime first started up, it was featured on CNN International World Business Today (October 12, 1995), and InfoWeek on November 20, 1995. It was selected as a "Cool site of the Day" back when CSOTD was still cool, and as "top 5% of all web sites" back when there were 5% of the current number of web sites. Nowadays there are too many awards being given out, so we don't keep track any more. It should be mentioned that so far none of us have made the FBI ten most wanted list.

Perhaps the most impressive award we won was to be named "site of the month" by the Country Joe McDonald. (and it's one, two, three, what are we hacking for?)

Who is DigiCrime?
The entire list of members is now revealed. Not that we were really hiding...
Has the DigiCrime webmaster lost his mind?
Yes.
Is the DigiCrime web page available to advertise products?
Now who has lost their mind?
How will I know if I get email from digicrime?
We are now identified by our digital IDs from VeriSign.
What exactly is DigiCrime? Our mascot
In case you have not figured it out yet, DigiCrime is a joke. It is my twisted attempt to poke fun at the vulnerability that our society suffers from as we move into the information age. On the other hand, it's not a joke in the sense that the future of our society depends on the ability to protect information. That's what I work on in real life.
Does DigiCrime encourage or engage in criminal activity?
Certainly not. What kind of fools do you take us for? We have no desire to cross the FBI.
